EGR, DPF & Aftertreatment Repair in Augusta & Savannah, GA

Nothing kills productivity like an emissions derate. We diagnose and repair the complete aftertreatment system — EGR, DPF, DOC, SCR, and DEF — and fix the root cause so the same code doesn’t come back next week

System Overview

Aftertreatment, EGR & DPF

Emissions systems are the most common source of downtime on modern diesels, and the most misdiagnosed. A clogged DPF is often the symptom the cause might be a leaking EGR cooler, a failed injector, or a NOx sensor feeding the ECM bad data. Our aftertreatment specialists work the system as a whole, using OEM software to test each component against spec before recommending cleaning or replacement.

Services include forced regenerations, DPF cleaning and replacement, DOC and SCR catalyst assessment, DEF system repair from tank to doser, NOx and temperature sensor replacement, and EGR valve and cooler work. We also fix the upstream problems fueling, air, and cooling faults that plug filters prematurely, because a clean DPF behind a broken engine is just a countdown.

Signs You Need This Repair

Catching it early keeps a small fix from becoming a major rebuild.

01

Frequent Regens

A truck asking for regens more and more often is loading soot too fast the cause is upstream and findable.

02

Derate or Check Engine

SCR and DPF faults escalate on a federal timeline from warning to 5-mph limp. Early response keeps options open.

03

Power and Fuel Economy Loss

Restricted aftertreatment steals both. If mpg has slipped and the truck feels lazy, get the system tested.

Questions

Can you just delete the emissions system?

No deletes are a federal violation with serious fines for both shop and owner, and we don’t do them. What we do instead is make the system work the way it should, which fixes the reliability complaints that make deletes tempting.

We measure before we recommend: soot and ash load, differential pressure, and filter condition. Cleaning recovers many filters; cracked or glazed ones need replacement. You’ll get the honest answer either way.

Excess soot production commonly a fueling issue, air restriction, EGR fault, or heavy idle time. We find the source rather than just clearing the code and waving goodbye.

Very. DEF/SCR faults escalate on a mandated schedule ending in a 5-mph derate. Call as soon as the warning appears and we’ll get ahead of the countdown.
